Legal Assistant – Wills & Probate Department
This is an excellent opportunity for the right person to join our very well established, highly reputable private client team.
To be successful you will have a strong secretarial and administration background. In addition, you will be a well organised self-starter who is able to work independently to ensure that tasks are completed to a high standard. Confidence in dealing with clients in a professional manner, both on the telephone and in person, is essential.
Key tasks include:
- Maintain Fee Earner’s diaries to include arranging meetings and appointments.
- Drafting of basic Wills, LPAs and Court of Protection applications.
- Deal with routine client correspondence, queries and accurate audio typing.
- Opening, closing and ongoing orderly maintenance of all files in accordance with firm’s quality standards.
- Assist with the organisation, safe custodian and release of Wills, Lasting Power of Attorney’s, Probates and other associated legal documents.
- Attend to clients both in person and on the telephone in a manner in keeping with the firm’s high standard of client care.
- Other duties as required to ensure the efficient running of the office.
- Desired skills and experience:
- Legal Secretary experience essential within Private Client – at least 2 years.
- Accurate typing ability using digital audio systems.
- IT literate – Microsoft Word / Outlook / Digital Audio software / Case Management
